PEEK

PEEK, invented in 1978, is a beige colored organic thermoplastic polymer in the PAEK family.

PEEK Filament is one of the highest-performance materials on the market. Exceptional mechanical, thermal, and chemical resistance properties make this an ideal material for the most demanding applications.

PEEK is one of the most difficult thermoplastics to print, mainly considering its high viscosity. It is also difficult to achieve good dimensional tolerances because of its high shrink rate. Carbon Fiber Enforced PEEK, which is also sold on this site, has much better tolerances and is much easier to work with.

PEEK IS Machinable

PEEK has a tensile strength of - 7,500-14,000 PSI.

PEEK is Machinable.

PEEK has similar stiffness to human bone.

PEEK has high temperature resistance.

PEEK has excellent chemical resistance.

PEEK is suitable for demanding applications like                       aerospace and automotive Functional Parts.

PEEK is Antiallergenic.

PEEK is usually very expensive (but not on this site).

PEEK is stronger than PTFE, PFA, PVDF, and Vespel.

PEEK is more flexible than titanium.

PEEK Parts can be welded together.

Threaded PEEK is very Strong and durable.

PEEK Is Radiolucent.

PEEK Is Hydrophobic

PEEK IS Quite a good Insulator.

But some forms of PEEK are Conductive.

PEEK elastic modulus is 3.7–4.0 GPa.

PEEK IS Fairly resistant to Seawater, normal water, and               even steam.

PEEK IS ESD Safe.

PEEK IS ROHS compliant.

There is food-grade PEEK.

PEEK is usually sensitive to UV.

PEEK Implants, unlike some metal implants, do not                    interfere with MRI.

PEEK Tesnile Strength 80 MPa.

PEEK Elongation at break is 6%.

PEEK Flexural strength 120 MPa.

PEEK Flexural Modulus 2600 MPa.

PEEK Unnotched impact strength 70 KJ/m2.

PEEK Density is 1.26 g/cm3
